Larne Football Club have just finalised terms of an agreement which will bring two major local players to the club.
A sponsorship deal has been signed with the Port of Larne and P&O Irish Sea, securing the football club a welcome boost for the 2002/03 season.
Sam McCready, Chairman of Larne FC, comments: “Both the Port of Larne and P&O Irish Sea are major players in their own industries and within the town of Larne. We are absolutely delighted that they have agreed to team up with Larne Football Club and we look forward to a mutually successful season”
Larne FC have set their sights on promotion to the Premier League next season and have started convincingly winning the first two games of the season.
Denis Galway, Managing Director, Port of Larne, says: “Port of Larne is a major contributor to the economy of Larne and Larne FC is a very important asset to the town. The sponsorship is a natural partnership which we hope will benefit not only ourselves and the football club but also promote the positive aspects of the town of Larne to a wider audience.”
Graham McCullough, General Manager, P&O Irish Sea, Scottish Routes, adds: “We are pleased to be associated with Larne Football Club. Interest in the football club has traditionally been very strong among our own employees, particularly as some of them played for Larne FC in the past. We will continue to encourage our staff to support the club and look forward to a very successful season.”
