Foot Passengers

The Port of Larne offers a service for foot passengers on the Larne-Cairnryan route. Access to the ship will either be via a walkway if you are travelling on P&O Express or via shuttle / mini-bus if you are travelling on European Causeway or European Highlander.

Car Parking


0 - 20 min Free

80p per hour (or part hour) up to 8 hours.

£8 per day or part day thereafter.

On entering the car parks, you can either press for a ticket or insert a credit or debit card.

Using the Paystations

If you press for a ticket, you will need to pay for your parking at one of our paystations, which are located outside the Passenger Terminal. Please note that payment using cash is not possible at the exit.

The Paystations accept sterling Cash, Maestro, MasterCard, & Visa.

Ticketless Parking

Customers may enter the car parks by inserting a credit / debit card on entry to the car park, and inserting the same credit / debit card when exiting the car park. A receipt will be issued automatically. This avoids the need to use a pay station prior to returning to your car.

We regret that currently the pay stations do not accept euro currency.

All persons entering or using the car parks do so at their own risk and Larne Harbour Ltd. is in no way responsible for loss, injury or damage sustained by them or for loss of or damage to vehicles and their contents left within the car park.

For dropping off or picking up foot passengers please use Car Park 1, beside the Terminal.


Important Passenger Information

Latest Check-in times - All Sailings - Check-in closes 30 minutes before departure time for all categories of traffic.

Foot passengers check-in closes 45 minutes before departure.

Carriage of Hazardous Cargo
Passengers are not permitted to take hazardous cargo or fuel cans on to the ships unless prior written permission has been given by the shipping company.

Pets will be permitted to travel in the owners' vehicle and must remain in the vehicle for the duration of the crossing. Foot passengers and passengers travelling by coach will not be permitted to travel with pets. Unaccompanied pets will not be carried on any of the services operated from the Port of Larne.
